Hosting
This website is hosted by GoDaddy and delivered through the network of Cloudflare. Both process the technical data generated when you visit the website. Data may be processed outside the EU. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing this website securely and quickly (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Server log files
When you open a page, the server automatically records data that your browser transmits:
- page requested and time of access
- amount of data transferred and whether the request succeeded
- browser type and version, operating system
- previously visited page (referrer)
- IP address
We need this data to deliver the website and to detect faults and attacks. The security plugin Wordfence also uses it to block attacks. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
Cookies
Technically necessary cookies may be created when you fill in a form or log in to the administration area. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The services named below can set cookies of their own.
Registration and contact forms
We process the details you enter in our forms in order to answer your request, prepare the training contract and the driver’s license application, and contact you. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR. Your entries are sent to us by email and also stored in the website database, so that no request gets lost.
If you write to us by email, phone or WhatsApp, we process your message and contact details in order to answer it (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR).
Website analytics with Matomo
To understand how this website is used and to improve it, we use the open-source software Matomo. Matomo does not run on the servers of this website’s host. It runs on the web space of our German website fahrschule-abfahrt.de, hosted by netcup GmbH. The data is not passed on to anyone and is not used for advertising.
Matomo works without cookies and stores nothing on your device for counting visits. We record the pages you visit and when, the page you came from, your browser, operating system, device type and screen resolution, your approximate country, and clicks on our contact options (phone, email, WhatsApp). For our forms we record whether a form was seen, which fields were filled in and whether it was sent. We record the name of each field only, never what you enter. Your IP address is shortened by two bytes before it is stored, so it cannot be traced back to you. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal, your visit is not counted. Raw data is deleted automatically after 15 months.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the use of our website (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Because nothing is stored on or read from your device for this, no consent is required under Section 25 TDDDG.

Google reCAPTCHA
To protect our forms against spam we use reCAPTCHA by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. reCAPTCHA transmits your IP address and information about your use of the page to Google. Data may be transferred to the USA. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
Google Fonts, Maps and Calendar
This website loads fonts from Google servers, shows embedded Google Maps on the contact page and an embedded Google Calendar with our course dates on the calendar page. Your browser connects to Google and transmits your IP address. Provider and privacy policy as above.
Translation tool
The language selector loads its flag icons from GTranslate (cdn.gtranslate.net). If you use it to translate a page, the page content is processed by Google Translate.
TrustedSite
This website shows a security badge from TrustedSite (cdn.trustedsite.com). When the badge loads, your browser transmits your IP address to the provider.
Our pages show a button that lets you message us on WhatsApp. If you click it, WhatsApp opens and the terms of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland apply. Data may then be transferred to countries outside the EU. You can reach us just as well by phone or email. Privacy policy: whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy-eea.
Your rights
You have the right at any time to:

- Erasure, unless a retention obligation applies (Art. 17 GDPR)

Just write to info@fahrschule-abfahrt.de or call us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.
Retention period
We keep your data for as long as the purpose requires. After that we delete it, unless statutory retention periods apply, for example under tax and commercial law or driving instructor law.

If we change something on the website that matters for privacy, we update this policy. Last updated: November 2026.
